#MEMBERMORALE | JEREMY FYFE
Last week, I had the chance to sit down with one of South Jersey’s finest painters, Jeremy Fyfe. He is the co-owner and curator of culture at GLS Painters. GLS has been in service for over 10 years where they specialize in whole house painting. They paint interior, exterior, cabinetry, residential and commercial. They can even provide epoxy floor painting! With GLS, he loves to wow the customer every day. Jeremy says the best part about his job is seeing their reactions when the job is executed perfectly. Some of his goals that he wants to accomplish would be increasing customer services, having multiple vans on the road, having an all-star team, and being the leading painting company in the Gloucester Township area.
Before Jeremy was the co-owner of a well-established painting company, he was once a maintenance man at the Marriot Hotel. He went to work one day and found out that he was going to be fired. Luckily, a contractor came in the same day and they started to talk. After meeting with the contractor, he became an apprentice under him which lead to Jeremy’s new career. This opportunity provided him strength and confidence. If he could provide a tip to any business owner or professional looking to take their business to the next level, he wants to let them know that “sales are for show, profits are for dough.” A well operated business understands their profit margins. When he paints, he likes to use Sherwin William products because of their excellent quality. His favorite tool that he uses to enhance his business is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) program called Base CRM. It is able to gather everything you need to know about the clients and help them to stay on top of them. Jeremy enjoys reading from time to time and one of his favorite books he would like to recommend is called, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. One of the habits, “Seek first to understand, then seek to understood” really spoke to him. This habit makes people an excellent listener and listening is key in life. At the end of every Rev-Interview, we ask our members what their mantra is. Jeremy replied with, “Leave it better than found it.” And that is how GLS approaches every project. They want to make sure that their work is significantly better than how it was when they first approached it.
But always remember, “Don’t Stress, call GLS!”
